Same exact result as when plugged into my tower. I get CW channel 4? Did you attach it on top of the tower! Height is everything in longer range RF transmissions. Also those cheap antennas are for people that live in the same town as the transmitters.
Perfect picture, or crap. At a guess, your amp, if you had one, is dead, and when they are dead, they act more as a signal blocker that anything else. I know where you live!
