One to the southeast holds the sun fragment. Hayazo the Thief Speak to Samurai Dandy, a resident of the Commoner's Quarter, and he'll tell you about the return of a thief. Three other citizens have also had items stolen from Hayazo, and it's your task to return them. To start, light the three large lanterns around town using the Inferno brush technique. There's one lantern to the southeast, one to the north, and one at the center of town.
When you've got all of the lanterns lit and it's night time , use Power Slashes on the rock formations along the southern wall of the city.
You'll eventually find Hayazo who challenges you to a race of sorts. Before the race, take note of the symbols that appear over the heads of the clones. The symbols represent the attakc you need to use to stop them, as well as the order in which you need to stop them.
After defeating a set of clones, you'll earn one of his stolen items. Return the item to its owner to earn some Praise. The glass watch can be returned to Samurai Dandy who's found roaming the city. Return the bag of dumplings to Momotaro who's standing on the west end of town during the day.
The hairpin goes to the City Dweller that's inside the northern restaurant at nights. The fourth item, a mask, goes to Abe up in Waka's floating fortress. To get to the fortress, go to the southeast end of town and use the Watersprout brush technique to ride into the sky. There's another you can grab here. Speak with Masu, a man at the north of town, and he'll tell you about another monster list.
To get the list from him, you'll have to enter the restaurant to the north at night and speak with him when he's all boozed up. As before, the monsters only appear at night.
Hunt them in the Ryoshima Coast area, then return to Masu for some gold dust. Sei-an City Aristocratic Quarter Sidequests ' Thunderbolt Brush Technique Go to the northwest corner of the map and use the Catwalk brush technique to climb the back of the tall tower.
There's an entrance at the top that leads to a room with Gen. Speak with Gen and he'll tell you that he needs a gimmick gear to complete his contraption. If you have the gimmick gear, you'll offer it to him the gimmick gear is acquired by winning all of Ida's races back at Shinshu Field.
It gets harder. After coming out of the same boulder as the first time, Hayazo will split himself into four. Follow the same method to make him drop the Chrysanthemum Hairpin. Take this to the man in Yama's Restaurant for a further 20 praise.
The final race. This cannot be completed until after clearing Oni Island. Power Slash the rock by the guard again. Hayazo splits himself into five and a new technique is needed: Thunderstorm color-coded with yellow clothing. If Amaterasu attempts this race before obtaining this technique, Hayazo simply taunts her and runs away. Unless Amaterasu has the Thunder Edge Glaive , she will need to use the lightning ghost Raiden as a lightning source. Raiden can be found underneath a willow tree opposite Mr.
Chic's kimono shop. Hayazo will jump across the canal to reach this area, so while he is in midair both Thunderstorm and Waterspout can be used if the order allows. She can also use Thunderbolt , but this will instantly fail the challenge unless the only Thunder copy is the fifth one, since it will hit all of the copies at once.
After being defeated for the last time, Hayazo drops the Tao Mask, announces that he wants to be a detective, and disappears. Upon picking up the Tao Mask, Amaterasu wears it on her face. If for some reason the Tao Mask disappears before she can pick it up, go back to the rock Hayazo was hiding in and Power Slash it again; the Tao Mask will be sitting inside. Flower - go to him in the corner and talk to him until you learn that there are 20 trees to blossom.
Let's start: there are seven by Mr. Flower's house and one by the carpenter's house that is not bloomable; there are six by the save mirror at the entrance; there are five in the center of town.
Now come back to Mr. Flower's house and go in to fine the 19th one. Now go to Mr. Flower and I'll give you a minute to ponder where the last one is The last tree is on his head! Now talk to him again to learn that the Gura Shuffle requires your help. Follow him to the first cursed tree and after he removes the hex, bloom it. Then just follow him to the rest and bloom them when they are ready.
He takes a rather obscure path around the city, but follow him as best you can. After you bloom his house the quest is over. Chests - two by the left wall behind all the new buildings, and then one by the tavern next to the exit to the A.
Masu - by the A. Talk to him to learn his of his Monster Manifest, which is another wanted list for you. He hints that a few drinks at night will help coax him to cough it up. So at night go into the tavern nearby and talk to Masu to get Masu's Monster Manifest. Once you beat the monsters on the coast, return to him during the day for a Gold Dust. He will fan, but there is nothing you can do to help. After he fails, Issun points out the mark of Moegami, a turned 8 shape on the wall.
Now talk to him again and this time during is fanning, draw the turned 8 in the fire to meet with Moegami again. You gain the ability of Fireburst, some praise, and a scroll called Inferno Tech that teaches you how to use fire. Camille and Camellia - by the fabric house on the left side of town, talk to these two you've already met before and when you talk with the little sis, the big sis mentions trees right before her.
Press the draw button and poke one little dot on the ground and then she asks for rain, something you can't do at the moment.
Blossom - she is outside the big house on the left side of town during the day. She mentions her sick daddy and that she cannot afford the Herbal Medicine in town. Well, if you bought from the Tool Dealer, talk to her again and you will give it to her. Inside their home, it appears that the medicine didn't work, but I think if you completed Mr.
Flower's quest, just go tackle the sick old man and that will wake him up. He will run outside and be well again.
Raiden - at night, go in front of Blossom's house to see this ghost. Just talk to him, as there is nothing more you can do. Abandoned House - In the lower right corner of town there is a closed up, two story house. Go to the side and cherry bomb the crack to enter. Three chests on the ground, one in the left corner, three way up high, and if you walk across the beams up top, you can drop into the caged area in the lower right corner for a Sun Fragment.
Drawing Girl - on the right side of town, where your artwork is all over the surfaces, talk to the girl on the ground and give her your Charcoal that you got from the Tool Dealer.
Talk to her again to see a star design in her think bubble. Fabric House - go in and talk with Mrs. Fan to learn of a ghost outside, but that is not why you came in here.
